Welcome to the Oakley podcast, trucking, business and family. This show is brought to you by Oakley trucking, headquartered at North Little Rock, Arkansas. The purpose of this podcast is to communicate with Oakley owner operators and their families by giving them up to date information concerning Oakley trucking and the trucking industry, from business advice to safety updates to success stories, also to give an insight to outside truck drivers that might be interested in joining the Oakley family. Welcome to the Oakley podcast, trucking business and family. My name is Jeremy Kellett. I’m director of recruiting here at Oakley trucking, and I’m your host for this podcast. This is the Oakley podcast, trucking business and family, and that’s exactly what we try to talk about here. Is trucking. We try to talk about business and owner operators, and we talk about family. And guess what, today’s episode is going to be a lot of family, just because me and Megan are going to sit here with me, and we’re going to talk a little bit about some Thanksgiving stuff. This episode’s coming out Wednesday, right before Thanksgiving, and we’re going to just have a little short conversation about some different things that we’re thankful for. Of course, we’re going to talk a little bit about food. And, how can you not talk about food at Thanksgiving? Talk about some traditions that people have. We actually, Annabelle said, sent out a message on social media and asked about some people and what they were doing for Thanksgiving and some of their traditions. And we got some really good responses. We’re going to read some of those here in a minute. So going to be a good little episode. I appreciate everybody as always, listening to these episodes and being faithful listeners to the Oakley podcast. You guys keep me going, because there’s some times where, you know, I’m like, Man, I don’t know if I can come up with another one. And somehow it just seems to work out. And because y’all keep saying you want some more, so we try to do the best we can. We are now, something you do need to know is we’re fixing to we are running reruns through December, so this will be the last one until first of the year. At some point. I’m not sure when the next one is gonna come out, but we’ll have some really good reruns. I don’t know if they call them reruns, but anyway, that’s what old school calls them. You know, something good to me. I mean, I used to watch all three company reruns. I watch Andy Griffith reruns all the time. You’re like, all in the family side. No, no, I used to. I watched it a little bit, but I’m a big Andy Griffith fan. Oh, I watch it all the time, but, yeah, it’s a thumbs up, Annabelle. But so we’re going to do that through December. We’re going to pick out some good episodes, and then we’ll also give us a chance to kind of regroup and come up with some good new, fresh stuff for next year. Because I’ll be honest with you, I don’t want to, I don’t want to give you anything that’s not worthy, you know. I want you to get something out of it. That’s why I try to stay focused on the company, you know, and trying to talk more about the whole company, Bruce Oakley as a whole, but also our owner operators, and trying to give them good advice or good topics, or listen to some of our owner operators and what they have to say. And I think that just, you know, I think that just helps. That’s and that’s what we want to keep bringing to you. So some good new stuff is coming after the first of the year. We don’t know exactly what that is yet, but we, I promise you, we’re going to be working on it and come up with some good stuff for you. As always, aero truck sales and LubeZone have been great sponsors with the Oakley podcast. I can’t say enough about them. I mean, it is a quick little side note on Arrow and how much the biggest sponsor they are. I was talking to Keith at Arrow, and we have an owner operator that is trucking down and the warranty people are not wanting to cover it because there was a recall on it that was not taken care of. The catch to this was nobody knew about the recall before Arrow had the truck, before they sold it to our guy. Really, there was, yeah, and the warranty company is using that as an excuse not to cover this engine that needs to be rebuilt. So just an unfortunate situation, you know, and there’s probably more detail to it than that. That’s just the gist that I got over talking to Keith. But you know, the end result, the arrow is putting a motor in this guy’s truck for free. So, and you’re not gonna get that anywhere else. Anybody buying a used truck. So anyway, I mean arrow truck sales, you guys have always been great, and I appreciate Keith and what he does up there out of Springfield, Missouri. Y’all, give him a call if you’re looking for a good use truck, LubeZone, great company, too. Always get good results when, when you use them, people are always sending me stuff, you know? I mean, there’s not a lot of them, but I get good responses when people use LubeZone. So check them out. Oakley sponsors, all right. Megan, here we are, Thanksgiving.
Megan Cummings 04:58
Thanksgiving. Charlie Brown.
Jeremy Kellett 04:59
I mean, this is Thanksgiving week. Get all excited. I mean, you know what it feels
Megan Cummings 05:03
like in the office? What does it feel like the morning before a field trip at school? Okay? Just like, yeah, there’s work to do, but it’s Thanksgiving. Can this wait until after Thanksgiving? Yep, this is after Thanksgiving, right?
Jeremy Kellett 05:18
That we really want to do, yeah? Not now Thanksgiving. I’m trying
Megan Cummings 05:22
to be festive. I’ve got meals to plan. You do? Ya know you? Yeah, I do. You’re cooking, yes. I mean, real quick,
Jeremy Kellett 05:32
slow down on Megan’s coming Thanksgiving here.
Megan Cummings 05:36
So I don’t know that any of my siblings really watch faithfully. So I can trash that,
Jeremy Kellett 05:41
yeah.
Megan Cummings 05:42
So I just feel like I’m the baby, so I should be held to a lower standard, but I genuinely feel like if I didn’t bring half the stuff that I did, we just wouldn’t have it. You know what I mean? So, like, I’m always in charge of the hash brown casserole mac and cheese. Did you have some of my mac and cheese that I brought a couple months ago? No, had a random hand cream for it in the middle of the week and made a Mac. Yeah, it was really good. A pecan pie. I actually found a recipe for pecan pie bars this year, so I’m gonna do them in bar form and set up a pie cheese ball. Cheese Balls are easy, so I don’t really count that. And then green bean casserole. And I found a 100% homemade recipe last year, nothing out of a can, even the green beans were frozen. I made that stuff from scratch.
Jeremy Kellett 06:33
So is it a big hit? Yeah,
Megan Cummings 06:35
Actually, there was one of my nieces. She’s maybe 1415, I hear my pride, yeah, somewhere in that arena. Anyways, she doesn’t like green bean casserole. And then she asked for it for Christmas. She was like, you know, instead of getting me something for Christmas Eve, just make me a pan of that green bean casserole. So
Jeremy Kellett 06:54
look there. She comes around, yeah, yeah. So, well, it’s, of course, Thanksgiving. One of the first things you think about is food. I do. I mean, what are we, what are you cooking? Elizabeth, what do we get? Yeah. Elizabeth, what’s on the menu? Yeah. Oh, she is fantastic, too at cooking. It’s, you know, she had left me and my son, we were deer hunting this past weekend, and she had sent me a text so she was going to town or something, and she said, do not eat the corn bread on the stove. It is for the dressing, Thanksgiving dressing. So I didn’t eat it. I said, I’m glad you left that note, because it was gonna it was going down anything of
Megan Cummings 07:34
that part in A Christmas Story. Do you remember whenever she finishes a turkey and she’s like, don’t eat that Turkey? You’ll get worms. Oh, and then the dog,
Jeremy Kellett 07:44
no, she, you know, I grew up in big Thanksgiving with my grandparents, and they, we would always gather at one of their siblings houses and just have, I mean, 2025, 30 people there, yeah. And it was just so much fun, and we tried to cram them into my grandma, grandpa’s house. They’d come over there and, you know, be the TV trays and just eat wherever you could eat. All my grandma had was actually her laundry room, and she had a big, long bar along the side of it. Well, that was a dessert table, and I mean, apple cake, but several pecan pies, yeah, peanut butter balls. I mean, it was just, it was so much fun, so fantastic, you know. And now, you know, last, I mean, for years now, Elizabeth’s been doing, you know, most of it, and bless her heart, she does a lot of cooking. And we have my aunt and uncle and cousin come up from West Monroe, and they spend the night with us and that. And probably my dad, he tries to come, yeah, of course, just one of my boys will be this one, Clay coach, my New York boy, he’s coming in for Christmas. So,
Megan Cummings 08:50
so you guys host, yeah, oh yeah,
Jeremy Kellett 08:54
cooking, man, I’m telling you,
Megan Cummings 08:55
Nobody else brings anything. Is that all? Is it? No, it’s
Jeremy Kellett 08:59
all her. I mean, they will, but, I mean she, like, last year, Christian, my cousin got there, she made the devil eggs. So it’s like, they’ll, we gotta have some
Megan Cummings 09:09
devil eggs. Yeah, no, but that’s like the easiest thing, Thanksgiving menu, no, if
Jeremy Kellett 09:13
it is or not, yeah, maybe listen to this.
Megan Cummings 09:15
You know how Christian, I’m Christian. I’m sure deviled eggs are great, but,
Jeremy Kellett 09:19
but they’re a big help. They help set, clean up everything. You know, the only thing that I’ve got to talk to them about, I have to figure out how to get them to get the Christmas stuff down before they leave. Oh yeah,
Megan Cummings 09:33
you’re not. Are you not charging them for staying there? Are you? No, there you go. No. I’m like, Look, you’ve got free lodging if you bring the Christmas stuff down.
Jeremy Kellett 09:40
We got some. Let’s get to some of our listeners and what they said they were doing for Thanksgiving. We sent out a question. What questions do you send out? Annabelle, what are your plans for this for Thanksgiving? Read some of our answers, their responses there. Megan, I’ve got a couple picked. Out. Let’s see.
Megan Cummings 10:00
I hope I don’t pick yours well. Drew Olson is at Disney with his family. Ah, do you see that? How about that? I know it does. It could feel a little sacrilegious to do something like that, though,
Jeremy Kellett 10:12
if you’re I don’t know. I mean, I just, have you ever taken a trip on Thanksgiving? He’s always been at home. No, you have Annabelle. Where Have y’all gone? Y’all been to Disney World on Thanksgiving?
Megan Cummings 10:21
It’s a normal thing. Maybe I’m the one that’s in the minority in that. I
Jeremy Kellett 10:25
don’t I’ve never, we’ve never gone on a trip on Thanksgiving. I don’t think so. I think Thanksgiving, to me, is hunting. I don’t get to hunt, you know, let’s
Megan Cummings 10:34
you go. You go hunting as soon as you finish eating. I
Jeremy Kellett 10:37
go Thursday morning. Oh, so
Megan Cummings 10:39
you go before, yes, and then you don’t go after.
Jeremy Kellett 10:43
And, no, I’m usually taking a nap, pretty full, yeah, but you eat some Edwards pie. Oh, yeah, I messed up Thursday afternoon. Can’t make it, but for the rest of the weekend. That’s
Megan Cummings 10:55
now. Friday morning, you go deer hunting or duck hunting, yeah,
Jeremy Kellett 10:58
both. It just depends on what I’ve done and what I’ve killed and what’s happening. But most of the time I go,
Megan Cummings 11:04
it used to make my mom and my aunt so angry whenever dad would leak because and my Nana too. I mean, he’d come with his bags and he’s ready to go as soon as we finish eating, and they used to get on to him. Then you could just see it in his eyes, or he’d be pacing around the kitchen ready to leave. Oh, I
Jeremy Kellett 11:23
know, down somewhere. No, we got, I’m telling you, we’re built with different, different DNA.
Megan Cummings 11:29
We got a lot of people that are working too. Yeah. I got Irene. Brat,
Jeremy Kellett 11:33
Jim and Irene, they’re working. That’s what they responded to. I see you had friends
Megan Cummings 11:38
working. John, Christopher is working.
Jeremy Kellett 11:41
Oh yeah, Gerald Brown is working something. Mercer, oh yeah, cook some steaks at home. That’s what he said. He’s doing. How do you feel about
Megan Cummings 11:50
a steak on Thanksgiving? Well, I don’t know. Never had it. Do you think you’d be upset if you didn’t have, like, Turkey and Macate? Yeah? You do? Yeah, yeah. I think Christmas is okay to stray because you just had Thanksgiving. Yeah?
Jeremy Kellett 12:04
The whole Yeah, because when else do you have turkey and dressing and casseroles? Hash brown casserole. You know what I’ve huh? What’s a Yaw? Ew, is that what he’s having fresh, like fried. He was eating them today, oysters. Ew, hot
Megan Cummings 12:19
ones fried in the office. Did he heat it up? Yeah, I knew I smelled something weird. Okay, here’s
Jeremy Kellett 12:25
cooking steaks at home. You can do that at Christmas. That’s permissible at Christmas, gotcha. But Thanksgiving,
Megan Cummings 12:31
I just feel like you gotta have the traditional Yeah, thanks. I was just gonna say something, but the oysters really threw me off.
Jeremy Kellett 12:41
Jimmy Rawlings, his wife, him and his wife are going camping. I talked about your stay in Sunday school. I talked to my Sunday school teacher. They were going camping, yeah, on Thanksgiving, just because they couldn’t get the family together until the next weekend, when they all got together. So they’re going camping.
Megan Cummings 13:00
No, a little sad, you know what you don’t think about. But no, it’s not sad that you’re going camping, but I’m just it made me think of when we were talking about Thanksgiving at your grandma’s, how times have changed, you know, and things people get their own families. I was like, we’re doing Thanksgiving with my parents, the in-laws, or whatever, which I can complain about because I’m not married, because I’m like, Oh, I’d never do that to my parents. I really wouldn’t right now, no, yeah, will maybe. Anyways, I just feel like the whole get together thing is kind of going out of style, and it makes me sad. No, I don’t think it is, but you guys didn’t know that you were gonna tune into such a depressing episode, did you? Well,
Jeremy Kellett 13:39
we gotta cut down some of Megan’s. Johnny Fogelman, my last job, I worked on holiday so another younger driver could be home with their families. Now that I’m disabled. In cooking a big turkey and ham with all the homemade trimmings, last year, we delivered 20 plate lunches for some needy people. That’s
Megan Cummings 14:02
really good. We should start doing that with a lot of people. John Burgess, he was gonna work. It had a minor issue with his engine sounds and so he’s gonna be at home. I saw that they were in Jacksonville at some kind of a fair the other day with their seasoning that they made. Oh
Jeremy Kellett 14:23
yeah. John Burgess, seasoning. Roy West, a dinner with family with traditional Thanksgiving foods. Very much, man. Roy,
Megan Cummings 14:30
Here’s my favorite one. Bobby Holland says, eat lunch and sit around and give fat Happy Thanksgiving. Well, you know what, Bob, you’ve
Jeremy Kellett 14:38
got the right idea. Bobby, he’s just saying, what is actually happening, yeah, and what nobody else wants to say, well, there’s
Megan Cummings 14:45
no use in hiding it. And like eating, yeah, sure.
Jeremy Kellett 14:50
Oh, did you see the bibs? LoRa bib. This is one you said earlier. Not too many coming this year. If anyone finds themselves in Oklahoma City on Thanksgiving. You’re welcome to join us. All right,
Megan Cummings 15:01
you heard it here. LoRa gave us the Go ahead. So
Jeremy Kellett 15:04
David Yaw showed up, I guess. I hope she got plenty of paper plates. Yeah, just find her on Facebook, social media and invite your address.
15:11
Yeah, she invited her, yeah. So, anybody in Oklahoma City, Billy Freeman’s probably squirrel hunting.
Jeremy Kellett 15:18
See, there’s another hunter, I just don’t good old squirrel Hunter,
Megan Cummings 15:23
you know what? If that’s what makes you happy, that’s a perfect day to do it. You got the day off. Anyways, most everybody has the next day off. Olaf is gonna be with some of his family, his son’s family, grandchildren, and five of our great grandchildren. I think he’s got eight grandchildren of five greats, and he, you know, just looking at him doesn’t seem like he’s old enough to have great grand show in
Jeremy Kellett 15:50
good shape, apparently. Oh yeah, yeah. Kevin Hensley, doing preventive maintenance on the Volvo and going to a family’s house for Thanksgiving dinner and football. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
Megan Cummings 15:59
John Wells is a working man, and he loves hot food, family and close friends. You know what? Me too. We’ve got those three things in common. We come together every week. So to me, it sounds like maybe he’s already done his Thanksgiving. Is that how you’d interpret that? Yes, John, you’ll have to give us another
Jeremy Kellett 16:17
It’ll take him a long time to get it done. He’s a working man. He’s a working man. Connie and Delta Bennett, I assume this is Delta. Oh yeah, ray, ray and I are on the road. He goes by ray, ray and I are on the road. Where we end up is up to Alex. Their dispatcher, stay safe out there.
Megan Cummings 16:33
That’s good. Michael Allen says, Stay home and enjoy my family. Might eat something.
Jeremy Kellett 16:40
So if let’s talk real quick a minute about the ones that are working, we have some owner operators out there and all truck drivers, not just Oakley, but all truck drivers that are out there that are having to work through the holidays, or choose to work through the holidays. So I was thinking, Well, what do they do, you know, because there’s a lot of places close and what do they do for Thanksgiving? If you kind of get stuck on the road or on a truck stop or something. So I googled, and this is, this is a fresh this year from America truck driving.com. The five best places for truckers to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner in 2024 Did I give you that? I was gonna make you guess? Oh, really. Okay, I’ll pretend like I haven’t seen them. Okay, Annabelle is gonna guess Cracker Barrel is number three. Number three, Yep, I’ll owe some Cracker Barrel. Yeah, Cracker Barrel is always a good one. We came up, matter of fact, yesterday. I get side tracked here, but we come out of church, and I said, we’re gonna eat today. And she said, Where do you want to eat? I said, or won’t eat Dixie cafe. She said, We don’t have a Dixie cafe. I said, I know it, but I’d like to have a home cook, you know, something like a Dixie Cafe type meal after that. And not that she doesn’t feed me home cooking all the times you could tell. But I said, well, and I don’t want to go to Cracker Barrel because you have to wait an hour. Yeah, especially in Conway, especially in Conway, it’s packed there, so we’re cruising downtown, so let’s go to Bob’s grill. Bob’s grill has been there forever downtown Conway. They’re really known for breakfast, so we went in there and had a home cooking lunch, which, like a plate lunch.
Megan Cummings 18:23
Don’t do that where everybody can see it.
Jeremy Kellett 18:25
I mean, I like Bob’s grill, but like, I told my wife, you know, I said, Honey, you just got me so spoiled. I just, I don’t, I mean, I say, this is not just Bob. Stick with breakfast. Maybe this. Know what?
Megan Cummings 18:37
That’s okay. That’s okay. Some places are just for breakfast. I like,
Jeremy Kellett 18:40
it was okay, but hey, it was not Dixie cafe. No, that’s the main So, Cracker Barrel number three.
Megan Cummings 18:48
Here’s something that I didn’t know. I don’t know how
Jeremy Kellett 18:51
truck drivers can get in and out of the Cracker Barrel. Very easy. I mean, that’s the unless
Megan Cummings 18:55
there’s one, well, the one in Conway is next to a gas station. Oh, so, so they’d have to park there. No, someone’s got truck parking, but that’d be a nightmare. Well, maybe this is like, if you have a hotel room, Okay, my turn. This is something that they have frozen meals. And I actually didn’t know that it was a restaurant until two seconds ago. They have what I always see is frozen mashed potatoes. Yeah, Bob Evans, have you tried their frozen mashed potatoes? No, I’ve been scared to try them. Yeah, but you can get
Jeremy Kellett 19:26
them. Bob Evans, I haven’t even seen a Bob Evans, me neither. Brian, oh, have
Megan Cummings 19:32
Have you ever been? Is it good, as good as the frozen ones?
Jeremy Kellett 19:36
Never been to Bob Evans, but evidently,
Megan Cummings 19:39
That’s the number one place? Well, it
Jeremy Kellett 19:41
is number one. We’ll give our listeners out there that are stuck out there on the road open
Megan Cummings 19:45
from 8am to 7pm Yeah, turkey stuffing and all the trimmings.
Jeremy Kellett 19:50
Next one, number two is Boise stage stop in Boise Idaho. I wouldn’t want to be stuck in Boise Idaho on Thanksgiving. But, I mean, I. Guess you’re nothing wrong. Well, if
Megan Cummings 20:01
you’re in Boise at 10:30am on Thursday, you’re in luck. You’re in luck. Oh my gosh. Show your CDL. Did you read this? Yep,
Jeremy Kellett 20:07
all of it, not yet. Okay,
Megan Cummings 20:12
show your CDL and enjoy your meal for free. Is this current like? Is this for 2024 Yeah. This came out November 21 so y’all should go to Boise stage. Stop in Boise, Idaho, eat for free and eat for free, and they start at 1030 Yeah. Leonard Skinner saying about Boise Idaho, I
Jeremy Kellett 20:27
think traditional holiday favorites. The other one is number four. Iowa, 80. Now, this is a well known, you know, truck style. It’s the world’s largest wall called Iowa. I mean, you know, we had them on the podcast at the truck show the last two, two years, I believe. And that’s just a great story, right there too. You should go back. If you didn’t see that episode, you should go back and listen to that episode where we had Iowa 80. We had the, was it the granddaughter, I think Megan, and then, oh, I can’t think of the ladies Heather. I think Heather is with them. They sat down with me and talked about the history of that Iowa 80. It was a great place. So
Megan Cummings 21:03
They’re open until 9pm and it’s a buffet. Yep, ham fried chicken, pot roast.
Jeremy Kellett 21:09
Can’t go wrong, nope. Last one, you got it? Last
Megan Cummings 21:13
One is the Greater Chicago I 55 truck Plaza in little Arkansas, Chicago. Just kidding, yeah, if you’re in Chicago, perfect CDL holders enjoy a free feast. So if you have a passenger without a CDL, it’s only 1299, there you go. So most of these places, well, I say most of them, you get free meals. Show your deal.
Jeremy Kellett 21:38
So good, good options. I mean, I’m sure truck drivers know all this about where to go out there if you’re stuck. And I’m sure people are giving them, you know, if not free meals, we give them some special attention, because that’s one thing that that we have to, I mean, we have to remember and be thankful for, yeah, is these truck drivers that are working over the holidays that we’re sitting in there worried about, should we get seconds or thirds? Should I have a second piece of pie? I mean, half an hour there? Yeah. I mean, and they’re out there working for us.
Megan Cummings 22:12
Could you imagine if all the truck drivers just didn’t drive on Thanksgiving that set us back? What three weeks? That’d
Jeremy Kellett 22:19
be a disaster. Be feeling that around Christmas? Yeah, sure. Would, sure. Would I really appreciate that? Do you guys work and keep us going? We’re living at
Megan Cummings 22:28
home getting Yeah, what did he say? Getting fat? Yeah, that’s what
22:31
fat and sassy. He got it, right?
Megan Cummings 22:33
Do you do any Black Friday shopping?
Jeremy Kellett 22:37
I do not. I do Black Friday hunting. Okay, kill everything.
Megan Cummings 22:41
All right. What about Elizabeth? Does she do any Black Friday shopping?
Jeremy Kellett 22:45
She used to, but she doesn’t fight it anymore. I think she’s, I don’t, kind of the online,
Megan Cummings 22:52
yeah, you know, it’s not even there, it’s like, there’s no distinction between Black Friday and Cyber Monday anymore, because you get Black Friday deals online. Yeah, you can’t elbow somebody’s grandma at Macy’s anymore. Apparently, that’s frowned upon. Yeah,
Jeremy Kellett 23:07
it’s a, you know, that’s part, I guess that’s been a long time. Tradition with Thanksgiving too, is Black Friday. Yeah, you know, back in the day, there’s people, well, y’all don’t know, but before the internet, I mean, he had to be there early at the store, you know, and then they started just increasing it and increasing it to get there earlier. And then a
Megan Cummings 23:28
A couple years ago, though, I remember it used to start at like, 5pm on Thursday, so you had to get your nap, your firsts and seconds and thirds out of the way, and then make it to the store at like, 430 and get in line for stuff. And now I’m pretty sure they’ve outlawed that. Like, all the sales happen on Friday. They don’t do Thursday anymore. Oh yeah, yeah,
Jeremy Kellett 23:51
I don’t know. It’s just something and I’m not gonna participate even though you can probably get some good deals. I must do you. I’m out on line. Oh yeah.
Megan Cummings 24:00
Well, some of that stuff you just can’t pass up. Can’t pass up. What do you get? Elizabeth, Elizabeth watches pretty religiously, doesn’t she? Oh, watch what this? Yeah, okay, so you can’t tell me what you’re gonna get her for Christmas. Oh, I
Jeremy Kellett 24:14
I have no idea. Say that. Well,
Megan Cummings 24:16
I mean, just lie and say it’s gonna be really expensive and extravagant.
Jeremy Kellett 24:20
I: She , we’ve got a day. I know you’ll get there one day, but 29 years of marriage, I’m working on what we’re getting each other for a date is not near as important as it used to be one because we’re pretty much spoiled and we just get, you know, yeah, you want it, you get it, and it’s kind of no. So I don’t know. I’m not getting her much at all. She’ll probably come up with something. We can cut that out. Yeah, you might ought to cut that
Megan Cummings 24:50
out. Are you taking a nap? Do you actually take a nap when people are at your house?
Jeremy Kellett 24:54
Oh, I will pass out smoothly. You do what I’ve really been criticized for. We got to go. Oh, we got to end this. But what I really get criticized for, I get criticized for if I have company over it, and it’s getting late in the evening, you know, yeah, nine is 930 My God, you have people over at your house at that time, yeah, if they’re spending the night, oh, you know, they’re spending the night. Or if anybody’s over there, Elizabeth, you know, got on to me about that a couple times, and I just, I feel the urge, urge. I just get up, hit, hit the recliner, flip it, get up, tell everybody at night and walk out. Ronnie does that too. I was like, I can’t, I mean, I’m not one. I’m not sleeping in the chair. Yeah, I’m just going to bed. He’ll
Megan Cummings 25:40
Just leave, and then we’ll be in there for about an hour and a half. Later, I go to bed. I
Jeremy Kellett 25:45
think that’s what they do, I guess, like I got it from my grandpa, because he would just, he would reach over and he’d flip that lever on that recliner, and he’d go down, he’d pop up, and he said, Yaw, sit up here all night. Go to bed.
Megan Cummings 26:00
Okay? Listen, my parents do the same thing. Oh, my God. I thought it was just me. Mom will be like, they’re all the kids will be over, or it’ll be me and Ella, or me and my brothers, whatever, and she’ll be like, All right, well, we’re going to bed. Y’all can visit here. Just make sure you lock the door on your way out. It’s just a she’ll dad also does this thing. This is kind of around the point, but it involves family and thanksgiving. It’ll just disappear for like half an hour at a time. Like, where is dad? Are we outside doing something or in his shop? Yeah, especially whenever mom has company over, oh, we
Jeremy Kellett 26:36
got to get some air. Yeah, if things can get stuffy real quick. Yeah,
Megan Cummings 26:41
it’ll be people that he invited over too. Yeah? And then Judy’s just stuck entertaining, yeah? She’s like, Don’t do that to me. Well,
Jeremy Kellett 26:48
That’s what we do. Hey, one thing I do want y’all to do all you listeners out there is comment on some of this stuff we’ve talked about. Megan Cummings 27:39

I mean all joking aside, and Thanksgiving, whatever you know, thankful that we can enjoy Thanksgiving at home, because someone else isn’t, you know, and for people that make our job so easy, which is, you guys, we are
Jeremy Kellett 27:57
I’m just thankful for so many things. I mean simple things, running water, yeah,
Megan Cummings 28:03
You know, waking up is not dead. Somebody I talk to all the time says, I woke up not dead, yeah? Like, you know what, eating
Jeremy Kellett 28:09
